Health Care Logistics has a Career Progression Program where Account Managers can develop themselves to be promoted into higher responsibility Account Manager positions.
The Account Manager is responsible for growing sales and contact base within their assigned territory by visiting and calling on customers, prospects, and leads in their specialized market. He/she is also responsible for receiving, processing and recording customer’s orders with interaction with company team members who support the ordering, delivery and billing process.
  • Schedules outside sales visits and processes outbound calls to market product sales; identify needs and opportunities; and find solutions for customers
  • Prospect, lead generations, follow-up, expand territory by growing contacts in other departments
  • Receives customers’ calls, faxes and emails and provides quotes and/or information about products & services; processes concerns/problems; and enters orders using company software
  • Records special dispositions and notes related to customer’s situation by company systems
  • Attends trade shows and sets up booth and markets products
  • Attends computer and customer process training
  • Trains new employees in processing customer accounts as needed
  • Opens accounts for customers by creating new records in database
  • Tracks the disposition of customer deliveries
  • Cross sells and up-sells to all customers
  • Provides the customers with the opportunity to receive a sample, promotional product or evaluation order and follow-up in a timely manner to close sale
  • Troubleshoots work-related problems by sharing new ideas with other team members and supervisors and takes ownership of departmental success
  • Refers customer requests for refunds, exchanges and adjustments to Returns Department
  • Provides customer with estimate of shipping costs
  • Introduces/discusses our top product lines to every customer
  • Works with all company departments/teams to facilitate customer solutions: Manufacturing, Resource, Accounting, Returns, etc.
  • Attends new and existing products training and team meetings
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following ergonomic guidelines
  • Actively contribute to maintaining a strong team and spirit and positive work environment
  • Basic P21 skills
  • Basic Product Knowledge
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to travel 5 days a quarter for face to face meetings
  • Possesses 3 – 5 years of consultative sales related experience
  • Must have ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint at a high level
  • Speaks confidently and articulately in front of a group
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
  • Demonstrate the ability to think both analytically and creatively
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively in front of groups
  • Inbound/Outbound phone work: Requires ability to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively, continually sit with frequent hand use and finger dexterity.  Continuous ability for near/far vision and hearing
  • Customer Visits, Travel, Trade shows: Frequent standing/walking/lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs. without assistance. Occasional hand use, arm reach; need to kneel/squat. Continuous ability for near/far vision and hearing
