Job Description
Paid subscriptions have been core to Conde Nast's business for over 100 years, and today, they matter more than ever. The Director of Consumer Revenue Analytics will be charged with making substantial contributions to the company's acquisition and retention strategies, both directly through deep analyses and indirectly through making underlying data more accessible to consumer revenue and product counterparts.
In addition to a solid grasp of subscription funnels and digital media consumption, the ideal candidate will be well versed in the fundamentals of running statistically valid tests, comfortable inspecting, analyzing and visualizing hit-level data, and -- most importantly -- adept at explaining findings and recommendations in terms suitable to any audience. This is a global role covering more than 30 titles, with a plurality based in the US and EU.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • In partnership with Consumer Revenue, drive overall subscription testing strategy, with a focus on expanding to and ramping up additional brands
  • Spearhead up-funnel acquisition strategies and tests, by developing and augmenting attribution and awareness models
  • Partner with Audience Development to develop content and audience analyses that guide subscription efforts
  • Partner with CRM to augment existing retention strategies through more granular subscriber segmentation and analysis
  • Represent the team to leadership, and be able to confidently present and speak to key findings and recommendations
  • SQL
  • Python or R
  • Familiarity with querying databases
  • Knowledge of CDPs and data providers
  • Web
  • Marketing (including digital, CRM, and newsletter)
  • A/B Testing
  • Google Analytics, Omniture (Parsely a plus)
  • Sailthru or other ESPs (Email Service Providers) a plus
  • Optimizely or other experimentation platforms a plus
  • Liveramp / identity resolution providers a plus
  • Visualization tools like Mode Analytics, Looker, ggplot/matplotlib or equivalent
