MHC Financial Services, Inc. ("MHCFS") represents MHC as their captive finance company facilitating the sale and delivery of Kenworth, Volvo, Hino, and Isuzu trucks. As MHCFS continues to grow, we have an opening for a Financial Accountant - MHC Financial Services. The Financial Accountant - MHC Financial Services is responsible for performing accounting functions, reporting, and various office and administrative duties related to the operation of MHC Financial Services.

* Assist in all phases of the closing and reporting functions, including preparation of journal entries, analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts, calculating monthly and quarterly employee bonuses, and analyzing variances in income statement and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
* Assists in the preparation of operating reporting and analysis of various metrics to assess the performance of the finance company including, but not limited to, customer/product line profitability, collateral analysis, repossession losses, and credit underwriting.
* Aids in the development and documentation of internal controls, recommends improvements, and drafts policies and procedures.
* Provides support in developing and analyzing the annual business planning process.
* Prepares schedules and supporting documentation for external audits.
* Codes payables and works missing invoice list/errors queue.
* Assists with processing, maintenance and funding of finance contracts.
* Assists collections team to setup automatic ACH payments, fees, and research transactions.
* Performs other duties as assigned by manager, including assistance with special projects and ad hoc reporting requests.


* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
* One to two years' professional experience in accounting or finance preferred.
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organized, motivated individual with a keen attention to details, commitment to meeting various deadlines, strong analytical skills and flexibility to assume additional responsibilities.
