The Maintenance Technician Class III will perform scheduled and unscheduled vehicle maintenance repairs and service to satisfy compliance with vehicle warranties and assist with maintaining company or client fleet. The Maintenance Technician Class III will also be responsible for assisting with facility clean- up and organization as needed.

This position is located in Austin, TX.

What will your job look like?

* Responsible for maintenance, service, diagnosing, & repair of MTM Transit fleet vehicles
* Perform repairs such as, but not limited to: automotive vehicle, light duty truck , powertrains, undercarriage/ chassis, electronic and electrical equipment, air conditioning and heating systems, and vehicle accessories and equipment drivability and diagnosis of wheel chair lifts
* Perform on the road repairs (Road Calls) as needed
* Ensure all data is entered into the maintenance management system, addressing driver vehicle inspection reports, causes, corrective actions and all labor and parts used
* Perform additional duties as assigned or required

All you need is:

* High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
* Must have ASE certifications and/or proof of training in Brake system (A5) and (A7) heating and A/C (609 certified) or be able to obtain them within 6 months of hire
* Experience using hand and power tools, machinery, and diagnostic test equipment related to automotive repair
* Automotive courses from automotive institute preferred
* At least 1 year of automotive mechanical experience or currently enrolled in Technical School preferred
* Must possess a valid driver's license

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in computer skills to ensure electronic repair work orders are completed correctly
* Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behavior related to such
* Ability to attend safety and vehicle repair course as may be required
* Ability to work flexible hours as required
* Willing to follow all company policies, procedures, and regulations
* Be drug free and subject to Random Drug and Alcohol Testing as required
* Provide own tools to include some diagnostic and specialty tools
* Regular attendance is required
