Procurement Manager, Food & Beverage

Summary:  The Procurement Manager will be the procurement lead and primary business partner to Great Wolf's F&B team in areas such as vendor RFI's/RFP's, vendor qualification, data analysis and recommendation, and supplier and program management across the brand.  The Procurement Manager will develop and execute category management strategies within the organization and serve as the procurement champion of national programs in the F&B space.  This includes owning relationships with vendor, distributor, GPO and internal partners. This role will also engage and support stakeholders to build consensus and ensure pack member buy-in as we operationalize programs across functions and lodge locations.  This role will also include partnering with the F&B systems team to generate dashboards and reporting to support the operational and financial objectives.


  • Develop and execute strategy of assigned supply chain commodities and sourcing strategies with a focus on Food & Beverage. Define scope; manage multiple initiatives and individual project scope and timelines; facilitate issue resolution  
  • Lead product forecasting and planning efforts with vendor and distribution partners
  • Facilitate product evaluation and comparisons (cuttings) in coordination with the Great Wolf Culinary team
  • Negotiation and implementation of national agreements for Food, Beverage, Disposables, Equipment, Durables and related services
  • Take lead role on program management for Food, Beverage, and related goods/services spend across the organization

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or business-related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Procurement with at least 2 years in a similar role
  • Experience owning and executing new Procurement projects and ongoing program management and issue resolution
  • Results-oriented: driving savings targets through RFI's, RFPs and vendor assessments in Food & Beverage
  • Strong office and project organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability to meet deadlines, passion for strategy and negotiation
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to work in and manage large data sets; power user of excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Food & Beverage sourcing and category management experience across a variety of categories
  • Knowledge of commodity impacts and related risk management strategies
  • Previous experience with GPO and Distribution relationship and program management
  • Familiarity with BirchStreet P2P and Inventory system
