Roles and Responsibilities
The Senior Tax Accountant assists with the day-to-day management of federal and state tax compliance, income tax provision, both preparation and review, state tax notices and tax examinations, and also with daily cash management and forecasting. All duties will be performed in accordance with the company's policies and procedures and all US state and federal laws and regulations for the U.S. operations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education: Bachelor Degree in Accounting; Master degree in Taxation and/or CPA license a plus Years' Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience. Skills • Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills • Strong prioritization and decision making skills • Strong analytical and research skills • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports • Ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained • Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically • Ability to research and analyze data effectively • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices, procedures and standards policy and procedure development techniques • Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to federal and state tax codes • Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications • Knowledge of Corptax tax return software.
