Role Summary:

Requires working and conceptual knowledge in their own job discipline. Performs a range of assignments related to a job discipline. Accountable for their own work and effective coordination of process and information with others. Works independently, within guidelines and policies for ongoing work; may receive general guidance on new assignments. Supports an assigned accounting process and/or T. Rowe Price Group subsidiary or branch that are small to medium in size and complexity. Responsible for the completion of multiple standard accounting and reporting processes from start to close and other ad hoc assignments, as needed. Responsible for having and maintaining a working understanding of accounting guidance and policies, regulations, and drivers that impact assigned areas. Responsible for the quality, accuracy, and completeness of own work. Contributes to the achievement of objectives for the assigned accounting process or entity.

Contributes to end-to-end accounting processes and research required to transform data into information for reporting purposes. Activities may include processing less complex general ledger events and transactions; analyzing data used to prepare financial statements, management reporting, or regulatory reporting; assisting with continuous improvement activities such as the analysis of exceptions; providing support for audits; and completing assigned tasks to support the maintenance of the control environment. May complete special project activities, as assigned. With general guidance, gathers, reconciles, and analyzes data to complete journal entries, performs reconciliations of general ledger accounts, prepares daily reports, and supports analyses. Activities are performed accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Identifies and escalates issues. Provides insight and potential ways to resolve the issue. May review journal entries and/or reconciliations completed by less experienced professionals. Contributes to the implementation of financial system modifications to comply with revised reporting, accounting, and accounting process policies, procedures, and more substantial regulatory changes. Contributes to the identification and reporting of risks, gaps in reporting, patterns, or recurring issues. Ensures proper controls are implemented and followed for respective areas. Participates in assignments across lines of business, legal entities, and geographies that have an impact on internal/external reporting, accounting policies, and accounting processes. Assignments may include contributing to the implementation of new or revised reporting, accounting, and accounting process policies, procedures, and reporting templates in order to provide effective financial planning, accounting, and reporting of financial information.

Typical Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or related field and 3+ years of total relevant work experience.


Public accounting experience a plus, but not required.

Regional Requirements: No FINRA licenses required for this role.
