As a Sr. Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our Associate Director and to the Sterile Processing team within our OR Administration Department. This role will be responsible for a broad range of clerical, administrative and general office activities. The Sterile Processing team helps make sure operating rooms have clean and sterilized surgical instruments. It is an integral part of the world-class healthcare team that supports the delivery of high-quality care to Operating Room Services, Labor and Delivery and procedural areas.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates arrangements for meetings, conferences, or travel for an individual or group or department.
  • Researches and responds to inquiries and calls, may escalate to other levels of the organization as appropriate.
  • Establishes procedures and systems to ensure orderly and timely flow of the office operations.
  • Composes and distributes meeting agenda and minutes.
  • May act as or support the Staff Development Advisory Network (SDAN), Safety Representative and/or Kronos editor (editing timecards and updating salary allocation as needed) within the department and/or unit.
  • Versatile functions that may include support for maintaining/updating spreadsheets, presentations, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • May assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of employee engagement/social activities within the department.

Note: Incumbent in this position will be required to wear medical scrubs during each shift and every single day. The department will provide the scrubs.

Educational Requirements:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
Experience & Skillset:
  • Minimum 2 years office and administrative experience, required.
  • Administrative experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and/or manage complex and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate time management and priority setting skills.
  • Ability to establish good rapport with inter-departmental stakeholders such as peers, Faculty as well as external clients.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
