Overview

AIR is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. The Staff Accountant, reporting directly to the General Accounting Manager, will be responsible for performing high-level accounting functions such as financial closing procedures, reporting and analysis, and reviewing work of team Accounting Associates.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Perform financial closing procedures
* Prepare internal, external, and regulatory reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, as required.
* Review variety of financial reports for completeness and accuracy
* Process accounting transactions, collect and analyze accounting data, analyze business results, and develop management reports
* Make daily decisions concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions and recommend solutions to complex accounting matters
* Conduct general ledger account analysis and maintenance
* Ensure financial policies and procedures are followed and monitor adherence to internal controls
* Independently troubleshoot and take appropriate corrective actions
* Provide guidance and assistance to associate accountants
* Work with external auditors during audits
* Other accounting-based projects and analysis

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum 4-7 years of experience in accounting field
* Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred
* CPA desirable

Skills:

* Demonstrated ability to provide high levels of customer service in a dynamic environment
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
* Detail-oriented with outstanding analytical skills
* Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of GAAP to complex transactions
* Excellent problem-solving skills
